The Program Assistant plays a crucial role in executing field-level activities, conducting routine monitoring, and managing data for the School Feeding Program and its associated sustainability efforts. Facilitate the execution of school feeding initiatives at designated schools in accordance with approved schedules and protocols.
Facilitate the organizational management of food delivery operations at the school level, encompassing the receipt and preliminary verification of deliveries.
Facilitate the planning and coordination of field operations and stakeholder interactions to ensure seamless execution and productive engagements.
Support the execution of school-level sustainability initiatives under the Sustainable School Meals Project (SSMP), in collaboration with the SSMP Project Officer, encompassing the establishment, monitoring, and technical guidance of kitchen gardens, crop cultivation, and poultry rearing.
Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing data, tracking progress against established benchmarks, and producing comprehensive reports to assess performance, outcomes, and impact. Duties involve maintaining accurate records, ensuring data integrity, and identifying trends or discrepancies for further investigation. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to gather relevant information, provide insights, and support informed decision-making. Proficiency in data management tools and reporting software is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills to effectively convey findings.
Compose quarterly and annual reports to document and communicate the progress of implementation efforts.
Responsibilities include managing and updating beneficiary and school records, specifically enrollment details, feeding data, and contact information.
Conduct periodic monitoring visits to schools to verify the proper execution of programs, encompassing punctual food deliveries, stringent quality control measures, appropriate food storage practices, and efficient utilization by schools, among other critical aspects.
Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of documentation pertaining to Program Change and Impact narratives.
Regularly communicate updates regarding the implementation of the school feeding program across all designated platforms.
Engage actively in gathering data for comprehensive needs assessments, establishing baselines, and conducting impact evaluations at both the school and community levels.
Maintain all tools and trackers in accordance with established requirements and ensure they remain consistently updated.

Proficiency in agricultural and agronomy practices is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have direct experience engaging schools and neighboring communities in these areas.
Proficiency in working within Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (BASAL) regions and among local communities will be considered a valuable asset.
A valid motorcycle operator’s license is strongly preferred.
Must demonstrate proficiency and comfort in operating a motorcycle to reach various project locations efficiently.
Demonstrated expertise in overseeing complex projects, ensuring meticulous monitoring and accurate reporting throughout their duration.
Skilled in operating a variety of data collection and reporting platforms, including Kobe, OK, Google Forms, Excel, and Sheets, among others.
