Deliver core responsibilities and fulfill key accountabilities with precision and expertise, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards.

Assist in ensuring the seamless operation of activities within the EE&CC Pillar.

Evaluate strategic areas where Equity Bank can capitalize to achieve its objectives related to energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and climate action initiatives.

Identify and cultivate strategic alliances within the industry to mitigate portfolio risks.

The position involves facilitating the implementation of projects collaboratively developed between the Social Impact department or Commercial teams and partners focused on energy and environmental conservation.

Facilitate the implementation of projects in collaboration with WASH partners, ensuring seamless execution between the Social Impact department and Commercial teams.

Support the pillar lead by coordinating and overseeing the Pillar’s projects within each sector while ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic goal of fostering business expansion.

Collaborating with the pillar lead and Programs Manager, you will be responsible for crafting well-developed project proposals and creating tracking tools to ensure precise and punctual impact monitoring reports.

Facilitate the establishment and strengthening of market, information, and financial connections while supporting the development of business networks within the energy ecosystem.

Skilled at connecting energy partners with targeted sectors or individuals to enhance customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery.

Coordinate and take part in capacity-building initiatives focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles for Equity staff, partners, and customers.

Contribute to the enhancement and efficiency of the EEC pillar’s overall performance by collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing strategic initiatives to drive measurable improvements.

Handle any additional tasks or projects as directed by the line manager.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, and familiarity with frameworks like Django or Spring is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration, is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills, proficiency with financial software, and exceptional attention to detail are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and experience in preparing financial reports are also necessary. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is crucial.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, Climate Studies, Finance, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required.

Exceptional proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication is essential.

Experience

A minimum of three years of professional experience within a distinguished organization, preferably in the energy sector or green initiatives, as well as sustainable finance, is required.
