Implement approved school feeding plans at designated schools with full support.
Coordinate food delivery processes at the school level, ensuring accurate receipt and basic verification of deliveries.
Facilitate the coordination of field operations and stakeholder interactions to ensure efficient execution and alignment with project objectives.
The position involves facilitating the execution of school-based sustainability initiatives under the Sustainable School Meals Project (SSMP), with guidance from the SSMP Project Officer. Responsibilities include initiating, tracking, and offering specialized assistance for kitchen gardens, crop cultivation, poultry farming, and related activities.
The incumbent will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and disseminating data to track progress, ensure accountability, and support informed decision-making. This role involves maintaining accurate records, conducting regular assessments, and producing detailed reports to evaluate outcomes against established objectives. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for identifying trends, measuring performance, and recommending improvements. Proficiency in data management tools and reporting software is required, along with the ability to interpret complex information and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
Compose quarterly and annual reports to document and communicate the progress of implementation efforts.
Responsible for maintaining and updating beneficiary and school records, including enrollment details, feeding data, and contact information.
Ensure consistent oversight of school operations through scheduled monitoring visits, verifying adherence to established protocols, such as punctual food deliveries, stringent quality control measures, proper storage practices, and efficient utilization of food resources by schools, among other critical areas.
Assist in documenting Program Change/Impact narratives to ensure accurate and comprehensive records of modifications and their effects.
Consistently provide updates regarding the implementation of the school feeding program across all designated platforms.
Collect data for needs assessments, baselines, and impact evaluations at both the school and community levels.
Maintain strict adherence to the use of all designated tools and trackers, ensuring they are consistently updated and remain accurate at all times.
The role focuses on fostering meaningful relationships with stakeholders and the broader community, ensuring transparent communication and collaborative partnerships. With a minimum of two years of practical experience in a pertinent field, candidates should have held roles of increasing responsibility within School Feeding, Agriculture, Community Development, or Education in Emergencies.
Candidates should possess a strong background in agriculture and agronomy practices, ideally with direct exposure to educational settings and nearby communities.
Familiarity with working in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (BASAL) regions and among local communities is highly desirable.
A valid motorcycle operator’s license is strongly preferred.
Must demonstrate both the capability and willingness to utilize a motorcycle for transportation to and from project locations.
Proven expertise in meticulously overseeing projects through to completion, coupled with the ability to generate comprehensive reports on progress, outcomes, and key metrics.
Proficient in operating diverse data collection and reporting platforms, including Kobe, OK, Google Forms, and Excel/Sheets, among others.
