Founded in 1998 by Stephan Malherbe in Johannesburg, Genesis Analytics began as the first specialist microeconomics consultancy in South Africa. The firm’s name, derived from the Greek word for “beginning,” reflects its origins at a pivotal moment: South Africa’s transition to democracy and Africa’s emergence as a continent of opportunity.
