The Social Health Authority (SHA) is a state-owned entity created under the Social Health Insurance Act of 2023, tasked with safeguarding the financial well-being of Kenyan residents by ensuring fair and equal access to high-quality healthcare services. The SHA oversees the management of the Social Health Insurance Fund, Primary Healthcare Fund, and Emergency, Chronic, and Critical Illness Fund in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
