To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of eight (8) years of cumulative, relevant professional experience is required, with at least three (3) of those years served in a Deputy Director, Engineering (Roads) role or an equivalent capacity.
A Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Civil and Structural Engineering—or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution—is required for this position.
A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is advantageous.
Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (ELK) as a professional engineer.
Registration as a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MILK) is required.
Holders must possess a current and valid Annual Practicing License issued by the Engineers Board of Kenya (ELK).
A recognized institution must award a Leadership Course certificate that spans a minimum duration of four weeks.
Proficiency with a range of computer applications is required, along with the ability to leverage software tools effectively to support daily operations and enhance productivity.
Demonstrated exceptional professional proficiency and administrative expertise, essential for successfully planning, directing, controlling, and coordinating engineering road operations.
