We commit to delivering exceptional results through a blend of expertise, innovation, and unwavering dedication. By fostering a collaborative environment, we empower our team to exceed client expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity. Our pledge extends to continuous improvement, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term success for both our organization and those we serve.

We deliver vital cargo across Africa—shipments that save lives, sustain communities, feed nations, construct critical infrastructure, and accelerate development. Seeking a Sales & Technical Proposal Representative who transforms Africa’s most challenging logistics routes into pathways for growth and opportunity.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated sales professional with 1 to 2 years of experience to fill the role of Technical Proposal Writer. The successful candidate will possess advanced technology skills and a proven track record of crafting compelling, meticulously detailed proposals for clients in the Oil & Gas industry, United Nations agencies, non-governmental organizations, and international development institutions.

You will oversee the entire proposal development lifecycle, from initial RFP analysis through to final submission, while embodying our C.A.R.E. culture.

We expect you to embody our C.A.R.E. profile, demonstrating a commitment to collaboration, accountability, reliability, and excellence in every aspect of your role. You will be accountable for maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity while contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment. Reliability will be essential as you consistently meet deadlines and deliver results with precision and efficiency. Collaboration will be key as you work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. Finally, a dedication to excellence will drive your continuous improvement and innovation in your responsibilities.

As a client-focused professional, you promptly address client inquiries, guaranteeing a response within 15 minutes or as circumstances demand. You consistently prioritize client needs above all other considerations while ensuring swift and urgent communication throughout all interactions.

You demonstrate a proactive approach by focusing on solutions rather than excuses, and you take full responsibility for any errors. Maintaining a constructive mindset even in high-pressure situations, you consistently exhibit drive and determination in your work.

You proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact clients, addressing underlying causes rather than merely alleviating immediate symptoms.

You prioritize empathy, engaging first by listening before taking action. With a deep understanding of the distinct challenges faced by clients in Africa, you approach every situation with integrity and practical insight.

You will be responsible for overseeing and executing a variety of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Key duties include managing projects from inception to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining clear communication channels to facilitate seamless collaboration. Additionally, you will be tasked with analyzing performance metrics to identify trends, implementing data-driven improvements, and reporting progress to stakeholders. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving challenges are essential. Proficiency in relevant software tools and a commitment to continuous professional development are required.

Facilitate comprehensive proposal development—from initial research and drafting to final editing and submission—for Oil & Gas initiatives, as well as for United Nations agencies such as WFP, UNICEF, and UNDP, and international donors including USAID, the EU, and FCDO.

Evaluate RFPs, RFQs, Its, and proposal solicitations to confirm compatibility with Shine Maritime’s logistics and supply chain capabilities.

Guarantee adherence to oil and gas and donor directives, as well as humanitarian benchmarks such as the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), the Sphere Standards, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Collaborate with partners, consultants, and sub-grantees to align and manage consortium bids effectively.

Maintain a comprehensive proposal CRM database, including records of past submissions, standardized boilerplate content, and donor intelligence.

Assist in enhancing the skills and capabilities of internal teams by providing training on proposal writing best practices.

Familiarity with AI-powered tools—or a strong aptitude for quickly mastering them—is essential, as is the ability to meet tight deadlines while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
