Strath more School is in search of an enthusiastic and qualified educator to fill the role of Mathematics and Science & Technology teacher within its Lower Primary division. The selected applicant will deliver Mathematics as the core subject, complemented by Science and Technology, to students ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 3.

We seek a candidate with deep subject expertise and a sincere passion for educating young learners, coupled with the skill to craft and deliver lessons that are both captivating and tailored to their developmental stage.

Oversee the core duties associated with the position, ensuring all operational and strategic objectives are consistently met. Develop and implement efficient processes to enhance productivity and foster team collaboration. Monitor progress toward goals, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance standards. Address any challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and uphold service quality. Collaborate with stakeholders to align efforts with broader organizational priorities and drive continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records, report on key metrics, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Develop and instruct engaging, high-quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons tailored specifically for learners in Grades 1 through 3.

Develop and execute instructional activities that adhere to the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) framework.

Evaluate learner performance on a continuous basis and deliver prompt, constructive feedback to foster ongoing development.

Accurately maintain comprehensive records documenting learner attendance, performance metrics, and developmental progress.

Foster a welcoming, diverse, and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth for all students.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance learner wellbeing and academic success.

Engage in various school-related events, attend staff meetings, and take advantage of professional development offerings to enhance skills and collaboration.

Seeking candidates with a strong foundation in relevant qualifications and extensive hands-on experience within the field. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proven expertise through prior roles, ensuring they meet the core competencies required for success in this position. Additionally, they should possess the necessary technical skills and professional background to excel in the outlined responsibilities and contribute effectively to the team’s objectives.

Holds a recognized teaching qualification, with Mathematics designated as the principal area of expertise.

Candidates must possess either an active TSC (Teachers Service Commission) registration or demonstrate eligibility for registration.

Desirable
