About the role

Strath more School invites applications from dedicated and qualified educators to fill the role of Mathematics and Science & Technology teacher within its Lower Primary division. The ideal candidate will deliver Mathematics instruction as the core subject, while also instructing students in Science and Technology for Grades 1 through 3.

We seek a candidate with deep subject-matter expertise, a sincere passion for educating young learners, and the skill to create and deliver dynamic, developmentally appropriate lessons.

Oversee a comprehensive range of duties, including strategic project planning, team leadership, and meticulous progress tracking to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements, while maintaining rigorous adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements. Develop and implement policies that enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks, alongside mentoring junior staff to foster professional growth and retention.

Develop and implement engaging, high-quality Mathematics and Science & Technology lessons tailored for learners in Grades 1 through 3.

Design and create instructional activities that are fully aligned with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), ensuring they meet educational objectives and foster skill development among learners.

Evaluate learner progress systematically, offering prompt feedback to facilitate continuous improvement and development.

Accurately document and track learner attendance, performance metrics, and developmental progress to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.

Foster a welcoming, diverse, and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth.

Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance learner wellbeing and academic success.

Engage in school-related events, attend staff meetings, and take advantage of professional development programs to enhance skills and contribute to the school community.

Seeking applicants with a solid background and relevant experience in the specified field. Candidates must possess the required credentials and professional expertise to fulfill the job duties effectively. The ideal applicant should meet all necessary qualifications and have a proven track record in similar roles. Proficiency in key areas and adherence to industry standards are mandatory. This position demands a candidate who can demonstrate both technical competence and practical experience in the outlined responsibilities.

A suitable teaching qualification with Mathematics designated as the primary area of expertise.

Applicants must possess a valid Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration or demonstrate eligibility for registration.

Exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal communication is required.

A proven track record and strong commitment to the field of education.

Desirable

Experience in teaching at the Lower Primary level, specifically Grades 1 through 3, is required.

Possesses a solid understanding of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) framework.
