The monthly salary for this position ranges from KSS. 34,420 to Kshs. 46,120, structured as follows: KSS. 34,420 for 1,300 units, Kshs. 35,720 for 1,380 units, Kshs. 37,100 for 1,390 units, Kshs. 38,490 for 1,460 units, Kshs. 39,950 for 1,470 units, Kshs. 41,420 for 1,470 units, Kshs. 42,890 for 1,520 units, Kshs. 44,410 for 1,710 units, and KSS. 46,120 for the highest tier.

Oversee daily operations and execute assigned tasks with precision, ensuring adherence to established procedures and organizational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives and contribute to broader company goals. Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and analyze performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.

This role serves as the foundational entry and introductory level within this professional track. At this stage, officers will operate under the mentorship and oversight of a more seasoned supervisor.

Headquarters for the County, serving as the central administrative hub for county operations, houses key departments, including but not limited to administration, finance, legal, and public services. This facility ensures the coordination of county-wide initiatives, facilitates interdepartmental collaboration, and provides essential infrastructure to support the efficient delivery of public services. The Headquarters plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, policy implementation, and maintaining high standards of governance across all county functions.

This role encompasses a broad range of administrative responsibilities, including executing general office tasks, enforcing county ordinances, and safeguarding government property, assets, facilities, and inventory. Additionally, the position involves managing the upkeep of infrastructure and facilities, overseeing transportation logistics, and coordinating office space planning. The role also includes procuring, developing, and maintaining office equipment and furniture, as well as organizing and facilitating meetings, conferences, and other special events. Furthermore, the position requires supervision of routine maintenance for buildings and furnishings.

Field Administration: Oversees on-site operations, ensuring compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards. Manages field teams, coordinates logistics, and resolves operational challenges to maintain efficiency and accuracy in data collection and reporting. Requires strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to dynamic field conditions. Responsibilities include training personnel, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering collaboration between field staff and headquarters to achieve organizational objectives.

The incumbent will report to and receive direction from a senior officer. Key responsibilities at this level include cultivating and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders, addressing public concerns and issues, and assessing the progress of community projects. Additionally, the officer will coordinate the mobilization of local resources, encourage citizen involvement in development initiatives, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards. Upholding ethical practices and principles of good governance will also be a priority, alongside compiling and analyzing data pertaining to developmental activities. Furthermore, the officer will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to organize public participation forums for citizens.

Requirements:

To qualify for this grade, an officer must possess the following requirements:

A recognized institution must have conferred a bachelor’s degree in fields such as Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any related Social Science discipline.

Holders of a Certificate in Computer Applications demonstrate proficiency in essential software tools and digital literacy, ensuring effective utilization of office automation systems and applications. This credential validates foundational technical skills, including word processing, spreadsheet management, database operations, and presentation creation, which are critical for modern workplace productivity and operational efficiency.
