Role Context
The PR & Communications Associate will play a pivotal role in advancing Prudential Kenya’s public relations and communications objectives by cultivating robust media relationships, producing compelling and high-caliber content, enhancing internal communication strategies, organizing PR events, and contributing to crisis and reputational risk mitigation efforts.
The position will uphold and strengthen the Prudential brand by delivering uniform, prompt, and regulation-compliant messaging across every internal and external interaction.

Internal Communication and Brand Compliance involves ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all organizational channels. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain brand integrity and foster effective internal communication strategies. Responsibilities include developing and distributing internal communications, monitoring brand compliance, and collaborating with various departments to align messaging with organizational values. Additionally, the position demands strong project management skills to oversee communication initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Support the creation and dissemination of internal communications, such as employee newsletters, staff announcements, and leadership messages.

A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of one to five years of professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, or an agency setting, you possess a solid foundation in strategic messaging and stakeholder engagement.
Skilled in facilitating media interactions, crafting compelling content, and fostering stakeholder connections.
Proficiency in written English is required; fluency in Swahili represents an additional asset.
Proficiency in financial services or insurance industry communications represents an additional asset for this role.
