Pursuant to Section 133A (2) (a) of the Land Act CAP 280, candidates for this position must meet the eligibility criteria for appointment as a High Court judge. To qualify, applicants are required to possess the following credentials:
Candidates must possess a law degree from an accredited university, be admitted as advocates of the High Court of Kenya, serve as professionally qualified magistrates, or hold an equivalent qualification recognized in a common-law jurisdiction.
With a minimum of ten years of accomplished experience as a prominent academic, legal practitioner, or professional within another pertinent legal domain, the ideal candidate will bring substantial expertise to the role.
Have at least ten (10) years of cumulative experience meeting the qualifications outlined in paragraphs (i) and (ii), whether acquired in Kenya or another Commonwealth common-law jurisdiction.
Alternative dispute resolution experience and qualifications will be considered a significant asset.
