Hemingway’s Hospitality Group is currently seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the position with Human Resources Manager – Learning, Talent & Organizational Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving leadership development, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and improving people performance across the group. Additionally, this role will provide support to HR teams in managing core HR operations and building capability as the business continues to expand and evolve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Capability, Learning & Talent Development team is responsible for identifying and developing talent within the organization. This includes conducting assessments to determine areas of strength and weakness, creating training programs to address gaps in knowledge and skills, and providing ongoing support and coaching to help employees reach their full potential. The role involves collaborating with various departments to understand business goals and develop strategies to achieve them through employee development initiatives.

The role involves overseeing organization-wide educational programs, mentorship opportunities, and staff advancement plans in accordance with company objectives and expansion strategies.

As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive programs that encompass various aspects of leadership development, employee onboarding, technical training, and regulatory compliance. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of your organization. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation and evaluation of these programs to ensure their effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.

The Performance, Succession & Leadership Readiness team is responsible for identifying and developing high-potential leaders within the organization. This includes conducting assessments to evaluate leadership skills and potential, providing coaching and mentoring opportunities, and creating succession plans to ensure a smooth transition of leadership positions. Additionally, this team works closely with senior management to identify areas where improvements can be made in organizational performance and develop strategies to address these issues. The ultimate goal is to create a strong pipeline of talented leaders who are ready to take on key roles within the organization and drive success for years to come.

Integrate educational growth within the framework of performance evaluation, talent development, and professional advancement strategies.

Reinforce the succession plan and promote lateral movement within the organization at the group level.

The Organization Effectiveness & Workforce Design team is responsible for ensuring that our organisation operates efficiently and effectively by designing and implementing strategies to optimize work processes, maximize resource allocation, enhance communication channels, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and build and retain high-performing talent. Specifically, the team focuses on developing and executing plans to improve organizational structure, streamline operations, increase productivity, reduce costs, and drive business growth. Additionally, they work closely with senior leadership to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to measure progress towards achieving these goals. The Organization Effectiveness & Workforce Design team is a critical component of our organisation’s success, as their efforts directly impact the bottom line by improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing revenue.

Additionally, you will work closely with other departments such as finance, legal, and IT to ensure that HR policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. To be successful in this role, you must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Offer consultative guidance as well as practical assistance to Human Resources departments in all facets of human resource management operations, policies implementation, and individuals’ management practices.

Enhance organizational human resources capabilities by providing expert coaching, direction, and associated resources.

The Governance, Measurement & Impact team is responsible for ensuring that our organization operates in a transparent, ethical manner and aligns with our overall strategy and mission. We develop governance structures, set measurement targets and goals, collect and analyze data to track progress, and communicate results to stakeholders. Additionally, we are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programs and initiatives on the communities we serve. This includes conducting assessments, analyzing feedback from beneficiaries, and making recommendations for improvement. Our team works closely with other departments across the organization to ensure that all aspects of our operations are aligned with our values and goals.

Oversee financial allocations for educational programs, coordinate with external organizations, and plan schedules related to professional development opportunities.

Monitor, assess, and report on instructional succession rate optimization

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to staff engagement, turnover rates, and cultural norms in order to provide valuable data for driving strategic decisions and ongoing enhancements within the organization.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Proficiency in the field of Human Resource Management, specifically related to learning and development strategies as well as organizational design principles.

Demonstrated expertise in translating organizational strategies into effective capacity development programs.

Experienced professional adept at collaborating effectively with executive-level decision makers, possessing exceptional interpersonal communication abilities.

Previous experience in providing exceptional service, managing operations within a hospitality setting, or working in intricate, fast-paced environments is highly desired.

A bachelor’s degree in human resources, learning and development, organizational psychology, or a related business discipline is required for this position.

A minimum of ten years of consecutive experience is required in either learning and development, organizational development, or a combination of both along with general human resources roles.
