The Supply Chain Intern will collaborate closely with our supply chain team to assist in executing key functions and help enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.
Oversee a variety of critical tasks and obligations, ensuring all operational needs are met with precision and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that align with organizational objectives. Conduct thorough assessments of processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting to support compliance and decision-making. Serve as a liaison between departments to facilitate seamless communication and coordination. Monitor performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous enhancement. Provide guidance and support to team members to foster a productive and collaborative work environment.
Support the procurement process by conducting supplier research, soliciting and evaluating quotes, and preparing and distributing purchase orders.
Facilitate inventory management operations by overseeing stock monitoring, managing replenishment processes, and ensuring inventory accuracy through meticulous verification procedures.
Assist with the evaluation of demand forecasts and inventory data to enhance replenishment strategies and reduce the occurrence of stock-outs.
Partner with logistics providers to guarantee the punctual arrival of goods and materials, fulfilling both production schedules and customer demands.
Provide support in overseeing and documenting shipment movements, updating real-time status updates, and addressing transportation discrepancies or delays as they arise.
Responsible for ensuring meticulous documentation and precise record-keeping regarding procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Contribute to supply chain enhancement initiatives by collaborating on projects designed to optimize processes and boost operational efficiency.
Assist in data analysis and reporting initiatives to deliver valuable insights regarding supply chain efficiency and uncover opportunities for enhancement.
Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to verify adherence to established quality standards and service level agreements.
Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the supply chain team by managing data entry tasks, organizing and maintaining files, and preparing required documentation.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess at least three years of professional experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are also necessary. Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred.
