Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and organizational standards. Accomplish high-caliber diagnostic imaging by precisely positioning the transducer, closely observing the display, attentively interpreting signals, fine-tuning beam intensity and focal depth, identifying artifacts that may resemble abnormalities, and systematically documenting the images produced.

Conduct electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures, perform two-dimensional echocardiograms, conduct advanced echocardiographic assessments, and administer stress echocardiogram tests.

Assist with performing dobutamine stress echocardiograms and contrast-enhanced echocardiography procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Compose detailed echocardiogram reports, which must subsequently receive validation from the supervising cardiologist.

Provide support to Cardiologists during the execution of Trans-Esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) procedures.

By ensuring patients are thoroughly prepared for their echocardiogram, this role enhances patient care and comfort, which involves clearly explaining the examination process, addressing any patient inquiries, and offering assistance with mobility as needed.

Interpret clinical data to support informed decision-making by generating precise measurements of heart wall thickness, chamber dimensions, and blood flow dynamics, including direction and velocity, then evaluate these findings against established medical benchmarks.

To ensure the accuracy of exams, verify patient medical records for essential clinical details such as medical history, laboratory results, and physician orders, while also gathering additional necessary information directly from patients and cross-referencing requisitions with physician directives.

Facilitate patient safety by implementing infection-control policies and protocols, providing first aid as necessary, and assisting the emergency response team.

Ensure quality assurance and control by performing all preventive maintenance tasks, which involve adhering to manufacturer specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions, arranging necessary repairs, and managing equipment inventories.

Support the reduction of turnaround times by organizing and managing the prioritization, coordination, and scheduling of patients undergoing echocardiographic procedures, while also guaranteeing the prompt issuance of patient reports.

Work closely with Biomedical Engineers to guarantee timely upkeep of equipment.

Ensure meticulous documentation of test results by accurately inputting data into computer systems, designated report forms, and batch registers.

Ensure seamless coordination and information exchange with fellow members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate optimal patient care outcomes.

Engage in departmental Continuing Education initiatives and assist in the implementation of quality control programs.

Support the manager by gathering data and tracking unit-specific quality and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.

Engage in a variety of departmental initiatives, including public screenings focused on heart disease awareness, outreach medical camps, events commemorating Heart Day, and professional conferences.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with three to five years of professional experience in a related industry. Applicants must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is essential, as is a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Education

Degree in Radiography, a Diploma in Radiography, or a Higher Diploma/Certificate in Echocardiography from an accredited university or college is required.

Professional registration with the applicable regulatory authority is required.

Holds a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Possesses a valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
