Our client, a prominent telecommunications company, is seeking to hire a Trade Development Representative to join their team.
Job purpose
To prioritize in-person retail visits with the aim of enhancing brand recognition and improving performance metrics on SIMs and Float, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards are maintained at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.
Oversee and execute core responsibilities integral to the role, including but not limited to managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and addressing inquiries promptly to maintain operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, optimize resources, and drive continuous improvement across assigned departments. Monitor progress through performance metrics, providing data-driven insights to leadership to support informed decision-making. Foster a collaborative work environment by mentoring team members, delegating tasks effectively, and promoting accountability at all levels.
Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, concentrating on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores, to ensure comprehensive SSO & Agent Mapping.
Consistently maintain call rates by conducting regular visits to SOS and agents as outlined in the agreed route plans (beat plans).
Provide essential transaction tools across SSO and agent outlets, ensuring availability and functionality. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to familiarize them with operational processes and tool utilization.
Conduct anti-money laundering (AML) training sessions and evaluate agents’ understanding of AML protocols alongside specialized service officers (SOS) regarding Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, specifically as they pertain to SIM REG compliance.
We diligently oversee float and stock management, ensuring comprehensive coverage and robust sales performance. Our team actively enforces the 1.5x stock rule for all agents, guaranteeing optimal inventory levels while facilitating seamless new registrations and activations by maintaining sufficient SIM stock for SOS.
Develop and uphold consistent merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of promotional materials at SSO and agent retail locations.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in the industry. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Familiarity with industry-specific software, tools, or methodologies is required, and prior leadership or project management experience is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required for this role.
