Job purpose
To concentrate on conducting channel visits with the objective of enhancing retailer awareness and improving turnaround times for SIMs and Float, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties, including managing day-to-day operations, leading cross-functional teams, and driving strategic initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvements. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and present data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Effectively oversee the identification and recruitment of Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Consistently meet assigned call rate targets by conducting regular visits to SOS and Agents as outlined in the agreed route and beat plans.
Provide and deliver essential business tools required for transactions at SSO and agent outlets, ensuring comprehensive training for SOS and Trash Agents on all relevant processes.
Conduct AML training sessions and assessments for agents, with a focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and Suspicious Substance Operations (SOS). Additionally, provide comprehensive training on Know Your Customer (KYC) processes as they pertain to the SIM REG framework.
Float and stock coverage responsibilities involve monitoring and rigorously applying the 1.5x stock rule for agents, while ensuring Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient SIM inventory for seamless new registrations and activations.
Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and agent outlets.
A strong academic background combined with relevant professional experience is required for this role. Candidates must possess the necessary qualifications and expertise to effectively perform the duties associated with the position.
A degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline, either at the diploma or bachelor’s level, is required for this position.
Experience
With a minimum of one year’s experience in sales and distribution within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or telecommunications (Telcos) sectors, candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to drive revenue and manage key accounts.
