A prominent telecommunications provider is seeking to fill the position with Trade Development Representative.

Job purpose

To prioritize in-store visits aimed at enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and performance across departments. Collaborate with senior management to align initiatives with long-term goals, fostering innovation and sustainable growth. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of priorities. Identify and mitigate risks while optimizing resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability. Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development to cultivate a high-performing workforce.

SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping – Spearhead the identification and recruitment of Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores to ensure strategic network expansion.

Regularly visit SOS and Agents in accordance with agreed route plans (beat plans) to maintain call rates.

We are responsible for providing and delivering all necessary business tools to facilitate transactions at SSO and agent outlets. Additionally, we conduct training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to ensure they are proficient in the required processes.

Conduct AML training sessions and assessments to educate agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, while ensuring they are well-versed in the Know Your Customer (KYC) process as it pertains to the SIM Registration (SIM REG) requirements.

Float and stock cover, along with sales performance, must be closely monitored to guarantee that agents adhere to the 1.5x stock rule. Additionally, it is essential to verify that Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient stock of SIM cards for seamless new registrations and activations.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.
