The Company Procurement Manager leads the strategic design and implementation of centralized procurement operations for Raeburn Schools Limited, covering both domestic and international sourcing. This position ensures cost efficiency, maintains high standards of quality, and upholds regulatory compliance, while overseeing company-wide procurement initiatives and guiding procurement policies and procedures that govern school-level purchasing activities.

The manager will foster robust partnerships with local and international suppliers, oversee import logistics, and uphold ethical and transparent standards throughout the organization.

Oversee and execute key duties and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Collaborate cross-functionally to drive project milestones and deliver measurable outcomes. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Monitor progress through established metrics and provide data-driven insights to refine processes. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Centralized management of company procurement integrates both local and international priorities, ensuring cohesive oversight and strategic alignment across all sourcing activities.

Oversee and administer all centralized procurement operations for the organization, ensuring a strategic equilibrium between domestic and international suppliers.

Devise and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, product quality, and supply timeliness for enterprise-wide procurement, while evaluating both domestic and global market opportunities.

Skilled professionals will oversee and administer contracts with essential suppliers, including domestic and global partners, to secure advantageous terms and conditions.

Oversee and manage all import logistics associated with company-wide purchasing, encompassing shipping, customs clearance, and delivery to specified destinations, while cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with local suppliers.

Ensure full adherence of all company-wide procurement operations to Kenyan legal requirements, international trade regulations, and ethical guidelines.

We oversee local procurement initiatives to encourage and facilitate local economic growth whenever feasible.

Tasked with ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures at the school level, this role involves monitoring and validating all purchasing activities to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Responsibilities include reviewing requisitions, verifying vendor selections, and confirming proper documentation for all transactions to mitigate risks and promote transparency in financial dealings. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, conducting periodic audits, and providing guidance to staff on procurement best practices to foster accountability and efficiency in resource allocation.

Craft comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines, and ensure their consistent implementation and management at the school level.

Offer expert advice and assistance to school administrators and staff regarding procurement best practices and compliance regulations.

Perform regular evaluations and assessments of procurement activities at the school level to verify compliance with established policies and procedures.

Provide training and development initiatives tailored to procurement staff at the school level.

Serve as the primary escalation contact for resolving intricate procurement challenges encountered at the school level.

Supplier Relationship Management (Local and International): This role involves fostering and maintaining strong partnerships with both domestic and global suppliers to ensure seamless procurement processes. Key responsibilities include negotiating favorable terms, resolving supplier-related issues, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, the position requires diligent monitoring of supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions. Strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this position.

We forge and maintain strategic partnerships with prominent local and international suppliers, overseeing their selection, assessment, and overall procurement engagement at the enterprise level.

Develop and uphold a comprehensive database of preapproved suppliers catering to both corporate and educational institution procurement needs, with a particular emphasis on fostering a robust network of local vendors.

Monitor supplier performance and develop strategies to mitigate risks while enhancing efficiency.

Oversee financial management and reporting functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements and records. Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for efficiency improvements. Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal audit requirements while coordinating with external auditors. Lead budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives to support informed decision-making.

Develop and oversee the centralized procurement budget, encompassing all expenditures related to both local and international sourcing activities.

Perform comprehensive market research and evaluate pricing structures to pinpoint potential avenues for reducing procurement expenses at the organizational level.

Prepare comprehensive reports on centralized procurement functions, covering performance indicators, cost-saving achievements, and import-related metrics on a regular basis.

Prepare compliance reports regarding adherence to procurement policies at the school level.

Risk Management and Compliance (Local and International): Overseeing adherence to regulatory frameworks and internal policies while mitigating operational risks across domestic and global operations. Ensuring alignment with local laws, international standards, and industry best practices to safeguard organizational integrity and mitigate potential liabilities. Developing and implementing robust compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing strategic guidance to leadership on regulatory changes, emerging risks, and mitigation strategies.

Identify and address potential risks in local and global procurement efforts, such as supply chain interruptions, quality deficiencies, and evolving regulatory requirements to ensure operational resilience and compliance.

Ensure adherence to Kenyan regulatory frameworks, international trade legislation, and ethical procurement guidelines at the corporate level.

Ensure that educational institutions adhere to the organization’s established procurement policies and procedures at all times.

Collaborates effectively across various departments and teams to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with organizational goals, fostering an environment of shared accountability and innovation.

Collaborate with executive principals, school administrators, department heads, and relevant stakeholders to assess procurement requirements, both domestically and internationally.

Offer expert advice and assistance to employees regarding procurement policies and procedures, with a particular focus on import-related processes.

Spearhead cross-departmental initiatives to optimize enterprise-wide procurement processes, prioritizing the enhancement of logistics efficiency and the cultivation of robust local partnerships.

Must hold a relevant academic qualification, such as a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a pertinent field, along with a minimum of [X] years of professional experience in a comparable role.
