As the Coffee Strategic Planning Manager for Africa, you will collaborate with the APAC & Africa Regional Coffee Program Manager to advance Nespresso’s coffee sustainability and sourcing strategy throughout the African continent. Your role will involve spearheading strategic planning efforts, implementing performance-driven sourcing practices, advancing sustainability initiatives, fostering stakeholder engagement, and overseeing pivotal transformation projects to meet both regional and global targets.

Assist in the formulation and implementation of sustainability initiatives specific to regional coffee production.

Conduct comprehensive data analysis to extract actionable insights, facilitating informed strategic decision-making processes.

Oversee performance-driven sourcing initiatives and ensure adherence to supplier sustainability standards.

Provide leadership and strategic direction for digital traceability and ESG performance enhancement initiatives.

Oversee the implementation and adherence to budgetary allocations while ensuring alignment with sustainability objectives.

Identify potential funding sources and facilitate the advancement of innovative projects.

Conduct operational reviews and serve as the regional representative in international meetings.

Foster collaborative relationships with nearby organizations while advancing sustainability communications efforts.

Your background should encompass the following areas:

A master’s degree in business management, agronomy, or a closely related discipline is required.

Minimum seven years of hands-on professional experience coupled with robust business insight is required.

Demonstrated success in formulating strategic initiatives, driving organizational change, and effectively engaging with key stakeholders is essential.

Exceptional proficiency in project management, communication, and leadership is required, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams effectively and ensure project success through clear and concise interactions.

Dedication to sustainability principles and the coffee industry is essential.

Proven capability to collaborate seamlessly within diverse multicultural and multidisciplinary team environments.

Proficiency in sustainable sourcing, agricultural practices, or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives is highly beneficial.

Key duties encompass overseeing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring deliverables align with organizational objectives.
