POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities include receiving and staging merchandise by department, marking it appropriately for placement, and delivering it to the designated area. Utilize pallets or carts to stack merchandise efficiently. Prepare requisition forms for inventory and supplies as needed. Promptly inform management of low stock levels to ensure timely replenishment. Accept deliveries, store perishables correctly, and rotate stock to maintain freshness. Thoroughly inspect incoming deliveries, verifying freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and overall quality across case lots. Reject any damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items upon receipt. Strictly follow food safety and handling protocols in all food-related areas. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation by organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, ensuring they are placed in designated storage areas.
Preferred qualifications include a minimum of two years of experience in a related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates should possess excellent organizational abilities, demonstrate a keen attention to detail, and exhibit proficiency in data analysis. Familiarity with project management tools and prior experience in a leadership role are advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of problem-solving, effective communication, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
A diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Possesses prior managerial experience within retail settings, ideally within a luxury hotel context.
