The Technical Sales Representative will play a crucial part in expanding sales by collaborating with farmers, retailers, and dealers across Western Kenya. Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational oversight to drive organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company standards. Lead cross-functional initiatives, fostering collaboration between departments to achieve key performance indicators. Analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, partners, and executive leadership, to maintain strong communication and alignment with business objectives. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality benchmarks. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, cultivating a culture of continuous growth and accountability.

Our primary responsibility involves actively advocating for and endorsing fertilizer products to agricultural professionals, including farmers, distributors, and retail partners, to drive adoption and increase market presence.

Maintain ongoing communication with clients to guarantee punctual delivery and exceptional service standards.

Conduct and oversee field demonstrations while acting as an intermediary between the organization and farmers to effectively communicate insights and outcomes.

Convey information regarding product offerings—particularly newly launched items—utilizing brochures, on-site demonstrations, and interactive workshops as key communication channels.

Partner with major clients to help construct yearly sales projections.

Proactively research and engage with prospective clients while collaborating closely with the Sales Manager to drive market penetration and increase overall share.

Examine competitor products, pricing structures, and operational efficiency through market data analysis to refine and strengthen sales strategies.

Process payments, generate receipts, and submit documentation to the finance team in a timely manner.

Ensure timely collection follow-ups and provide customers with account statements for their review and approval.

Compile daily, monthly, and quarterly sales reports while promptly resolving any discrepancies that arise.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering is required for this position.

Seeking candidates with three to five years of demonstrated expertise in agricultural sales or field operations.

Possesses in-depth expertise in the field of commodity fertilizers, encompassing their properties, applications, and market dynamics.

Demonstrated success in managing and developing demonstration initiatives is essential.

Proficient in both English and Afrikaans, with strong computer literacy skills.
