Job Summary

The role of Tax Advisor is situated within People Advisory Services, specifically under the Tax sub-service line. Candidates meeting the necessary qualifications should possess a strong grasp of tax principles and exhibit an understanding of tax-related technical issues impacting expatriates, local employees, and individuals. You will be expected to proactively recognize and address technical challenges while delivering tailored solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or a related discipline, awarded with at least an upper second-class honour or equivalent qualification, is required.

A professional accounting qualification such as ARCA, CPA, or CA would be considered advantageous.

With a minimum of three years’ experience at a leading tax advisory firm, you will have managed complex expatriate tax matters for large multinational clients. Your expertise should encompass tax calculations for expatriates, ensuring social security adherence, and advising on the implications of international assignments and short-term cross-border relocations. You will also provide guidance on equity compensation taxation and navigate the interplay between international tax regulations, immigration protocols, and expatriate tax compliance.

A minimum overall grade of B in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) is required, along with a minimum grade of B in both English and Mathematics.

Proficient in the intricacies of tax and social security regulations, ensuring full compliance with legislative requirements.

Proficiency with tax and direct engagement with the Kenya Revenue Authority are essential requirements for this role.

Skilled in information technology and the Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong command of its applications and functionalities.
