Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning and operational management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Conduct systematic mechanical troubleshooting for both routine maintenance and urgent operational issues on production machinery.
Review mechanical drawings, PIDs, and technical manuals to accurately identify and diagnose faults.
Implement the planned Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to reduce the occurrence of unplanned downtime.
Perform condition-based monitoring, focusing on techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic leak detection.
Ensure strict compliance with Lockout-Ragout (LOT) protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in all operational activities.
Conduct thorough inspections to detect mechanical hazards and maintain strict adherence to Food Safety Standards in all mechanical operations.
Address mechanical breakdowns without delay to minimize operational disruptions and restore production efficiency swiftly.
Collaborate effectively with production teams to identify issues and deliver expert technical assistance.
Provide support for the installation, commissioning, and mechanical configuration of newly acquired equipment.
Maintain comprehensive and precise records of all maintenance operations performed, ensuring thorough documentation of parts utilized throughout each procedure.
Assist in conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and develop and execute corrective actions to ensure such issues do not reoccur.
Propose enhancements to mechanical systems to bolster reliability, optimize efficiency, and ensure safety.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with three years of professional experience in software development or a comparable technical role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with familiarity with database management and software development methodologies. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team are also required. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced technological environment.
A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is strongly desired.
A minimum of six years of experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within a manufacturing setting, is required; experience in food or beverage manufacturing is particularly advantageous.
Demonstrates expertise in analyzing and comprehending mechanical drawings, PIDs, and equipment manuals with precision.
Proven expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues within mechanical systems, encompassing conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Proficient in utilizing advanced precision maintenance instruments, including laser alignment devices, dial indicators, and torque wrenches, to ensure accurate and reliable equipment adjustments.
A solid grasp of the interaction between mechanical systems and their impact on electrical control systems, including components such as limit switches and sensors, is essential.
Proficiency in mechanical systems essential to food processing, including sanitary design principles, stainless steel finishes, and compatibility with Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) systems, is required.
