The Senior Human Resource & Administration Officer is tasked with directing and overseeing the organization’s human resources and administrative functions to uphold operational efficiency, adherence to Kenyan labor laws, and alignment with strategic and organizational values. This position manages recruitment, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, administrative processes, procurement oversight, and office operations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of professional experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities. Prior experience in project management or a leadership capacity is highly desirable.

Applicants must possess a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, complemented by a strong academic foundation. Prior experience in an educational setting, whether through teaching, curriculum development, or administrative roles, is highly valued. Additionally, familiarity with modern pedagogical methods and educational technologies is essential. Demonstrated leadership abilities and a commitment to continuous professional growth are also required.

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

A Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management would be advantageous.

Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (SHRINK) or another pertinent professional organization is advantageous.

A minimum of five years of progressive human resources and administrative experience is required, ideally within an NGO or development organization.

Proven expertise in Kenyan labor legislation and leading human resources best practices is essential for this role.

Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience in handling employee relations matters, implementing performance management strategies, overseeing recruitment processes, and ensuring efficient office administration.
