Oversight of the entire benefits function encompasses the administration of medical insurance, pension schemes, and welfare programs. This involves managing enrollments, terminations, and modifications to benefits, addressing employee inquiries, and coordinating with providers to resolve escalations. Regular collaboration with brokers, underwriters, and benefits providers is essential to uphold service delivery standards. The role also includes conducting annual benefits reviews, monitoring utilization, and ensuring clear employee communications throughout the process.
As the primary liaison for occupational health and safety inquiries, overseeing OH&S coordination duties includes managing pre-employment and routine medical examinations, handling FIBA claims procedures, documenting injury cases and incident reports, and ensuring adherence to DISH regulations across all operational regions.
Overseeing the wellness and mobility support function involves coordinating quarterly wellness initiatives, maintaining relationships with gym and fitness providers, evaluating program efficacy, and aiding in employee relocation and international assignment procedures—such as managing visa, work permit, and immigration documentation coordination.
This position is responsible for overseeing vendor management, ensuring SLA compliance through platforms like Fresh service or similar systems, tracking purchase orders and invoices, and maintaining the reporting and dashboard infrastructure that enhances visibility and drives continuous improvement for the function.
What we’re looking for
Demonstrates a strong background in HR operations, benefits administration, or HR Shared Services, with hands-on experience in employee benefits, occupational health coordination, or global mobility support—preferably within a multi-country framework.
Proficiency in Kenyan labor law, the Work Injury Benefits Act (FIBA) 2007, and compliance with Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health (DISH) requirements, along with hands-on experience in occupational health or work injury initiatives and familiarity with East African employment regulations.
A relevant degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or Psychology—preferably at the Master’s level or accompanied by HR certification—along with a strong aptitude for analysis and demonstrated experience leveraging HR data to enhance operational performance.
