Job Summary:
This role offers an exceptional chance to recruit a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, the successful candidate will spearhead the finance department, delivering strategic leadership and operational oversight. Additionally, the position entails supervising accounting staff to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational objectives.
The role encompasses a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to executing core operational tasks, managing project timelines, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives, analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement, and maintaining accurate documentation of all activities. Additionally, the position requires proactive problem-solving, adherence to deadlines, and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and efficiency in all deliverables. Oversee the accounting functions encompassing Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), and legal compliance, along with Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition for the Group company.
Compile and release accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner to ensure stakeholders receive current financial data.
Prepare and oversee regulatory reporting documentation in accordance with applicable standards and deadlines.
Investigate complex accounting matters to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Facilitate the completion of month-end and year-end financial closing procedures.
Oversee and maintain stringent quality standards for all financial transactions and reporting processes.
Provide strategic oversight of tax-related risks and develop comprehensive tax planning initiatives to ensure organizational compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
Oversee adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal government reporting mandates and tax submission deadlines.
Formulate and formalize business processes and accounting policies to enhance and safeguard internal control systems.
Additional controller responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

A proven track record with experience at a Big Four accounting firm—including PwC, Deloitte, EY, or BDO—is an essential requirement for this role.
Proficient understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles is essential.
Proficiency in managing KRA tax audits and cultivating strong relationships with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is essential.
Holds a postgraduate qualification in accounting, with a focus on advanced theoretical and practical frameworks.
