Job summary/ Job purpose/ Role Intent:
Perform all responsibilities associated with routine maintenance, corrective maintenance, root cause analysis, and network quality initiatives for the fiber optic network.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing project oversight, team coordination, and strategic planning to ensure operational excellence and alignment with organizational objectives. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, implement actionable solutions, and monitor progress to drive measurable results. Evaluates, tests, and restores aging or defective fiber network infrastructure, while also conducting scheduled preventive maintenance tasks that include Optical cable, Closure kits, Ducts, and Manholes.
Craft sensor indicators and conduct thorough inspections to verify that the fiber optic systems are free from faults that might compromise their operational stability.
Performs routine examinations of the designated system to identify and rectify any detected flaws.
Develop and update system records and diagrams to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Conduct fiber optic maintenance activities, which involve performing point of break/link analysis, executing splicing operations, aligning cores, and validating splice quality using specialized tools and techniques.

Deliver fiber splices that consistently achieve a loss of less than 0.25dB/km across each segment, ensuring optimal signal integrity and network performance.
Education and experience requirements include holding a relevant degree in the field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
