As the Sous Chef, you will serve as the key operational leader across our Nairobi-based kitchens, reporting directly to the Head Chef. Diligently oversee food expenses and minimize unnecessary expenditures to ensure cost efficiency, while implementing strategies to diminish waste and maintain optimal inventory turnover.
You oversee all daily kitchen functions, including planning prep schedules and duty rosters, as well as managing supply coordination and inventory.
Demonstrate leadership by coaching, inspiring, and advancing the skills of kitchen personnel. Facilitate consistent feedback sessions and cultivate an environment that encourages ownership and excellence in performance.
You must strictly adhere to hygiene and compliance protocols, maintaining impeccable food safety standards, handling equipment with care, and ensuring the team remains fully prepared for any emergency situation.
