Proficient in drafting security documentation and overseeing their accurate completion and timely registration.
Offer expert legal counsel and guidance on commercial and corporate transactions, as well as matters pertaining to property and real estate law.
Conducting negotiations, preparing and finalizing commercial contracts, legal documents, and overseeing their proper execution.
Provide clients with professional guidance regarding the legal procedures associated with property transactions, including both purchasing and selling processes.
Responsible for negotiating, drafting, and thoroughly reviewing commercial contracts to ensure they are properly finalized and executed, aligning with organizational standards and legal requirements.
Perform comprehensive due diligence on conveyancing transactions, draft legally binding sale agreements, finalize completion documentation, and oversee the accurate registration of all pertinent documents to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Protect clients’ interests by conducting thorough research and maintaining consistent communication to ensure their needs are fully understood and addressed.
Perform comprehensive research to ascertain the legal ownership of properties by meticulously examining government land registry documents or title deeds when the land remains unregistered to any individual or entity.
Draft and finalize lease agreements for properties while verifying that all contracts are executed and signed by the designated transfer date.
Responsible for expediting and meticulously managing all client-related transactions with the Lands Registry, Local Authorities, the Survey of Kenya, and the National Lands Commission.
We collaborate with clients and essential partners, including mortgage lenders, real estate agents, land valuers, and surveyors, to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the process.
The role entails preparing and distributing terms of engagement along with detailed estimates for fees and disbursements.
Provide support for due diligence processes and address intellectual property concerns arising in contracts, agreements, and other transactional matters.
Processing stamp duty payments and registering documents across multiple registries are key responsibilities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Obtain all necessary clearance certificates and consents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Serves as a liaison between the Land Registry and various government departments, facilitating effective communication and coordination between these entities.
Compose conveyancing documents as well as other pertinent legal paperwork in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
Foster strong client relationships while consistently delivering on their expectations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, with a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and experience with Agile methodologies are necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also required. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
Requires 3–4 years of post-admission experience within a fast-paced commercial law firm or department, with a strong focus on conveyancing, real estate and project-related matters, banking securities, and commercial law.
