Job Summary

The Solutions Consultant represents an advanced iteration of the conventional Sales Engineering position, designed to enhance how we support customers in comprehending their operational landscape, offering strategic solution guidance, and ensuring the realization of value from their investment in Palo Alto Networks. In this role, you will deliver technical leadership, expertise, and direction throughout your customers’ security transformation initiatives. Your primary responsibility involves crafting tailored technical solutions that safeguard critical business priorities while maximizing the return on their investment with Palo Alto Networks. Additionally, you will champion our industry-leading capabilities in on-premises, cloud, and security operations services, solidifying Palo Alto Networks as the trusted cybersecurity partner for customers.

To engage technical stakeholders and foster connections with critical personas, we will establish and advance a security architecture transformation roadmap. This involves identifying key decision-makers and influencers within the organization to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives. By cultivating these relationships, we aim to drive the development and implementation of a robust security architecture framework.

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required, as the position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

With a minimum of six years of hands-on experience in pre-sales and sales engineering roles, you will bring a proven track record of driving technical solutions and engaging with clients to understand their needs. Your expertise in articulating complex product capabilities and aligning them with customer requirements will be essential in fostering successful sales outcomes. Additionally, your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and marketing, will ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Proficient in one or more of the following domains: Networking, Network Security, Cybersecurity, Private/Public Cloud Security, SOC/Endpoint, or SASE.

Proficiency in implementing cybersecurity solutions that address complex technical issues and drive innovative business strategies is desirable. The ability to persuade and secure support from key stakeholders—whether in a client-facing or internal capacity—is essential; prior involvement in a presales’ capacity would be particularly advantageous.

Crafting and conducting technical presentations, workshops, or validation engagements ensures effective communication of complex concepts while facilitating hands-on learning and validation processes.

Professionals with a proven track record in deploying, architecting, overseeing, or optimizing one or more of the following solutions are encouraged to apply: Network Security, SASE, SaaS, KNAPP, or SOC Transformation Technologies.

Collaborating closely with Customer Support teams, we aim to facilitate the seamless implementation and adoption of our delivered solutions.

Preferred candidates will have a proven track record in navigating intricate sales engagements characterized by extended decision-making timelines, engagement across several buying committees, and the delivery of comprehensive multi-product solutions.

This role involves extensive field sales responsibilities, which may include travel to attend in-person customer meetings; specific travel expectations will be addressed during discussions with the recruiter.
