A premier telecommunications company is seeking an experienced Trade Development Representative to join its dynamic team.

The objective of this position is to drive organizational success by executing key responsibilities and leveraging specialized skills to meet strategic goals. To prioritize retailer engagement through on-site visits, aiming to enhance brand visibility and improve SIM and Float performance while ensuring optimal product placement and merchandising standards for SOS and Trash agents at the point of purchase.

Oversee and manage the full spectrum of duties associated with this role, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to identify opportunities for improvement, drive innovation, and foster a culture of continuous growth. Prepare and present detailed reports on performance metrics, project progress, and key insights to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making. Additionally, mentor and develop team members to strengthen their skills and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Effectively oversee the identification, recruitment, and mapping of Agents, focusing on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Visit SOS and agents consistently by following the agreed-upon route and beat plans.

Provide all necessary transaction tools for SSO and agent outlets, along with comprehensive training for SOS and trash Agents on operational processes.

Train agents in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and ensure compliance with Suspicious Sign-on Orders (SOS) through thorough instruction on Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, particularly in connection with the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.

Monitor and maintain the availability of stock to ensure seamless coverage, while strictly enforcing the 1.5x stock rule for agents to prevent shortages. Verify that Sales Support Officers (SOS) possess sufficient SIM cards for new registrations and activations, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Oversee inventory levels and address any discrepancies promptly to uphold operational efficiency.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

Requires a relevant academic degree and professional experience in the field. Applicants must possess a strong educational background along with hands-on expertise gained through prior roles.

Qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
