Our client, a premier provider of ICT, ELF (Extra Low Voltage), and integrated technology solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Sales Associate to join their team.

The ideal candidate will spearhead sales growth initiatives, cultivate strategic client partnerships, uncover new business prospects, and extend the company’s reach across regional markets. This position demands a commercially astute professional with a demonstrated track record in selling ICT equipment, technology solutions, networking infrastructure, security systems, data center solutions, or related offerings.

The successful applicant should have extensive experience in various regional markets beyond Kenya, along with a proven ability to consistently meet sales objectives, cultivate key account relationships, and finalize high-value business-to-business transactions.

Lead key initiatives to drive organizational objectives, overseeing critical projects with a focus on efficiency and measurable outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of tasks while maintaining high standards of performance. Analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous development among team members. Serve as a primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry regulations. Mentor junior staff and provide guidance to enhance their professional growth and productivity.

Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within Kenya and across regional markets.

We engage with corporate, government, NGO, education, and commercial clients to deliver ICT equipment, ELF systems, and technology solutions, driving both promotion and sales initiatives.

Drive revenue expansion by designing and implementing targeted sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Oversee the complete sales process, spanning from initial prospecting through to deal closure and ongoing account management.

Craft proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender responses meticulously to meet client and organizational requirements, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.

Develop and nurture enduring connections with both current and potential clients to foster long-term engagement and trust.

Proficiency in analyzing clients’ business requirements and recommending tailored technology solutions is essential. This involves evaluating their operational challenges and aligning them with suitable technological advancements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Perform routine on-site client engagements, deliver compelling presentations, and showcase product functionalities through dynamic demonstrations.

Deliver exceptional customer experiences to maximize satisfaction and foster long-term retention.

Explore and cultivate business opportunities within regional markets throughout East Africa and additional Sub-Saharan African countries.

Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

Explore untapped market segments and potential avenues for expansion to drive business growth.

Develop comprehensive sales forecasts, compile detailed pipeline reports, and provide regular updates on business development initiatives.

Deliver data-driven market insights and strategic guidance to senior leadership to inform critical decision-making processes.

Collaborate on the creation and execution of sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.

Minimum qualifications for this role include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with three or more years of hands-on experience in a closely related industry. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, are essential. Familiarity with current regulations and compliance standards is required. Additionally, excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.

We require at least five years of hands-on experience in B2B sales across industries such as ICT, ELF, telecommunications, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technology solutions.

Proven track record in the sale of ICT equipment and technology solutions.

Proven track record in managing and expanding operations across regional markets beyond Kenya.

Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, networking, security systems, data center solutions, or related technologies.

Proven expertise in crafting compelling proposals, delivering impactful presentations, and conducting effective negotiations is essential.

Demonstrates sharp commercial judgment and excels at finalizing high-value agreements.

Capable of establishing and nurturing high-level client connections at the executive tier.

Demonstrates strong expertise in customer relationship management (CRM) platforms alongside advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Able to undertake travel within Kenya and the broader region as necessary.
