Our client, a prominent provider of ICT, ELF (Extra Low Voltage), and integrated technology solutions throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, is actively seeking a seasoned and high-performing Senior Sales Associate.

The ideal candidate will spearhead sales growth initiatives, cultivate strategic client partnerships, uncover new business prospects, and extend the company’s presence into additional regional markets. This position demands a results-driven commercial expert with a demonstrated track record in selling ICT equipment, technology solutions, networking infrastructure, security systems, data center solutions, or comparable products and services.

The successful candidate should exhibit extensive regional market experience extending beyond Kenya, coupled with a proven ability to meet sales objectives, oversee major accounts, and finalize high-value B2B transactions.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence, including developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback to foster professional growth and team development. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align projects with organizational goals, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress and identify areas for optimization, while maintaining rigorous compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Additionally, serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and resolving escalated issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction and trust.

Demonstrate and market ICT equipment, ELF systems, and technology solutions to a diverse range of clients, including corporate entities, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, and commercial businesses.

To devise and implement strategic sales plans aimed at meeting and exceeding revenue growth targets.

Oversee the complete sales process, encompassing prospect identification, deal closure, and ongoing account management.

Draft proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender replies with precision and professionalism.

Develop and nurture robust connections with both current and potential clients to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.

Analyze clients’ business requirements and recommend suitable technological solutions tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities include conducting routine client visits, delivering presentations, and performing product demonstrations.

Deliver exceptional customer experiences to drive satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty.

Identify and cultivate business prospects within regional markets spanning East Africa and additional Sub-Saharan African countries.

Stay abreast of industry developments, track competitor actions, and identify emerging technologies to ensure strategic awareness and informed decision-making.

Explore untapped market segments and potential avenues for expansion to identify strategic growth opportunities.

Develop comprehensive sales forecasts, generate detailed pipeline reports, and compile strategic business development updates to support informed decision-making.

Deliver comprehensive market insights and actionable strategic guidance to senior leadership to inform decision-making processes.

Assist in the formulation and execution of sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as computer science or engineering, along with three or more years of professional experience in a similar role. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure is required. Familiarity with project management methodologies and compliance standards is a plus.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in B2B sales is required, with a strong focus on sectors such as ICT, ELF, telecommunications, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technology solutions.

Proven track record in selling ICT equipment and technology solutions.

Demonstrated success in managing regional markets beyond Kenya’s borders.

Proficient expertise in ICT infrastructure, network architectures, cybersecurity frameworks, data center technologies, or closely related domains is essential.

Proven expertise in crafting compelling proposals, delivering impactful presentations, and engaging in effective negotiations is essential.

Commercial savvy and a proven knack for finalizing substantial, high-value agreements.

Proven capability to establish and sustain high-level client relationships at the executive tier.

Demonstrated expertise in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

Proven ability to undertake domestic and regional travel within Kenya as needed.
