The Role

In this role, you will collaborate closely with chefs and kitchen leadership to oversee the efficient preparation, packaging, and dispatch of food, ensuring adherence to stringent quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

This position offers practical experience for individuals who thrive in dynamic settings and are eager to advance within the food and operations industry.

Oversee and execute core duties essential to the role, which include assessing project feasibility, conducting research to inform decisions, and collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Lead strategic initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints while maintaining high standards of quality. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, bridging communication gaps to align objectives and foster productive partnerships. Additionally, analyze data to identify trends, evaluate performance metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational growth. Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to proactively adapt strategies and ensure compliance with best practices.

Provide assistance in daily kitchen operations to facilitate seamless production processes and service delivery.

Food must be prepared and packaged in strict adherence to established recipes and quality standards to maintain consistency and excellence in every product delivered.

Perform comprehensive inspections to verify the integrity and adherence to standards of finished goods prior to shipment, ensuring compliance with established quality criteria.

Ensure strict adherence to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout all kitchen operations.

Maintain accurate stock counts, ensure timely replenishment of ingredients, and implement proper stock rotation following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Record wastage and report operational issues to Kitchen Leads.

Verify that all production records and daily checklists are completed with precision and accuracy.

Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to guarantee timely order fulfillment.

Support the upkeep of a tidy, well-structured, and productive workspace.

Proactively detect issues and promptly escalate concerns to maintain seamless operational performance.

Facilitate the orientation and educational development of new team members as needed.

Requirements

A diploma or degree in Food Production, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, Operations, or an equivalent discipline is required.

0 to 2 years of experience in restaurant operations, hospitality services, retail environments, customer service roles, manufacturing settings, or food production environments would be considered highly beneficial.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and thrives in high-pressure environments.

Proficient in fostering effective communication and collaborating seamlessly within a team environment.

Demonstrates exceptional organizational capabilities and a proactive approach to assuming responsibility.

Capable of accommodating varied schedules, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.

Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is a desirable skill.

Nice to Have

Food Handler’s Certificate or HACCP certification is required.

Seasoned professionals with a background in restaurant operations, cloud kitchen environments, catering services, or food production facilities are encouraged to apply.

Proficient in inventory management systems and quality assurance protocols.
