Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Quality Assurance Manager will spearhead all quality assurance functions, direct quality control initiatives throughout the supply chain, administer audits and compliance protocols, lead quality teams, and verify strict adherence to both local and international food safety and export regulations—including Global. A.P., HACCP, BRC, phytosanitary mandates, and customer-specific mandates.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and responsibilities critical to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Facilitate the planning, coordination, and implementation of key initiatives while maintaining rigorous adherence to established policies and procedures. Serve as a primary point of accountability for project deliverables, quality assurance, and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and efficiency across all assigned functions. Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to optimize resource allocation, mitigate risks, and achieve strategic goals. Maintain meticulous documentation, reporting, and compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines to uphold transparency and accountability.
Ensures adherence to stringent quality assurance and food safety standards through systematic oversight and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develops, implements, and maintains robust food safety management systems to mitigate risks and uphold product integrity. Conducts regular audits, inspections, and testing to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to established protocols. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and management, to foster a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Trains employees on food safety best practices, hygiene standards, and regulatory obligations to enhance overall operational excellence.
Develop, execute, and oversee robust quality assurance frameworks, food safety protocols, and stringent quality benchmarks, ensuring they align with specifications for avocado maturity, size, color, firmness, appearance, weight, ripeness, and overall product uniformity.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a relevant field, preferably holding a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Familiarity with project management methodologies and regulatory compliance standards is highly desirable.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, or an equivalent discipline is required.
With a minimum of seven years of dedicated experience in quality assurance within the food processing sector, you bring a strong foundation to this role.
Proficient in quality control processes, testing methodologies, regulatory compliance, and food safety regulations.
Candidates with prior involvement in quality management systems, laboratory operations, audit processes, and export compliance will be viewed favorably.
