Duties include directing the design, execution, and evaluation of CENAC’s programs in Kenya.
Foster collaborative relationships with local civil society organizations, governmental bodies, and community groups to enhance engagement and mutual objectives.
Oversee the preparation and administration of project reports and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data to uphold accountability standards throughout project implementation.
Attend meetings and engage with stakeholders on behalf of CENAC.
Assist in crafting proposals and advancing fundraising initiatives to secure necessary resources and support for organizational objectives.
Ensure all activities are fully aligned with CENAC’s mission and adhere to its established safeguarding policies.
*Requirements:*
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field—alternative education paths will be considered based on relevant experience. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with experience using frameworks such as Django, Spring Boot, or .NET. A strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming is required. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Prior experience in software development, testing, or debugging is advantageous.
A bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
Having held prior roles in program coordination or management within the nonprofit sector, you possess a strong foundation in overseeing initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving impactful outcomes. Your background demonstrates expertise in coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and implementing strategies tailored to the unique challenges of nongovernmental organizations. This experience equips you with the ability to navigate complex environments, foster collaboration, and uphold the mission-driven objectives of the sector.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), environmental initiatives, or community development programs.
