The embassy front desk is staffed to welcome visitors, address incoming calls, manage general inquiries and complaints, relay messages, and transfer calls as required.
Updates the Embassy’s official phone directory to ensure accurate and current contact information is readily available for all personnel and external stakeholders.
Oversee the reservation process for the Embassy’s meeting rooms, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of available spaces.
Efficiently managing the receipt and dispatch of incoming and outgoing shipments ensures seamless logistical operations. This role involves accurately processing deliveries upon arrival and preparing items for timely distribution. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to maintain inventory accuracy and meet delivery schedules.

Proficiency in consular operations within a diplomatic mission abroad is highly advantageous.
Other critical qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is strongly preferred. Additionally, candidates must possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and excellent communication abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is also a plus.
Fluency in English, Somali, and Kiswahili—both in speech and writing—is required.
