The Role
The ideal candidate for this position must be capable of fulfilling the following responsibilities and requirements:
The role involves assisting the Bank in the development, project management, oversight, and safeguarding of its capital assets, with a primary focus on construction-related matters, particularly concerning the Bank’s premises.
Oversee scheduled maintenance tasks and promptly address equipment faults while conducting thorough quality inspections on completed work.
Oversee the contracting processes, cost control, and value optimization for the Bank’s construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Collaborate effectively with essential internal and external stakeholders to devise cost reduction strategies and formulate their implementation plans.
Oversee projects in collaboration with the Bank’s consultants to ensure timely completion in accordance with mutually agreed timelines.
Oversee and control construction expenditures for new outlet openings and other refurbishment projects, as mutually agreed upon periodically.
Prepare and examine preliminary bills of quantities and other tender documentation intended for distribution to contractors during the tendering process.
Collaborate closely with the procurement team and external consultants throughout all tender procedures, encompassing contractor shortlisting, tender invitations, opening, and evaluation.
Prepare valuation reports for internal projects and conduct thorough assessments of contractor payments at each phase of construction.
Provide thorough and accurate documentation for both active and finalized projects, including contracts, performance bonds, and all other required materials.
Prepare repair specifications, identify and engage appropriate contractors to execute the work, and develop maintenance tender documentation.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following skills and competencies:
A Bachelor’s degree in Building Economics or a related field is required.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a dynamic, high-pressure setting is required.
Demonstrated expertise in preventive and proactive maintenance strategies, coupled with a robust background in construction and project management.
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, combined with strong analytical prowess and the capacity to build meaningful professional relationships.
Proven expertise in financial management, team leadership, and vendor relations, with a strong background in strategic budget oversight and operational coordination.
Establishes and nurtures robust, cross-functional connections throughout the organization to foster collaboration and alignment.
Proficient in crafting detailed reports and delivering compelling presentations with clarity and precision.
Demonstrates strong proficiency in organizing tasks, managing time effectively, and consistently meeting deadlines with precision and reliability.
