Role Description
This full-time hybrid position, primarily based in Mombasa, offers flexible work-from-home arrangements. The Insurance Agent is tasked with sourcing and onboarding new clients, designing customized insurance solutions, nurturing existing client relationships, and guaranteeing high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include evaluating clients’ insurance requirements, advising on policy alternatives, facilitating policy renewals, and resolving inquiries related to policies and claims. Additionally, agents will contribute to the formulation of sales strategies to achieve both individual and team objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, preferably within the IT sector. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience with databases like SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning are also necessary to succeed in this role.
Skilled in insurance sales, knowledgeable about insurance products, and experienced with insurance brokerage processes.
Possesses a solid grasp of financial principles and their practical application within the context of insurance management.
Proven expertise in customer service, demonstrated by consistently cultivating and nurturing meaningful client connections to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
Proficient in conveying ideas clearly, negotiating with stakeholders, and fostering strong professional relationships are essential for this role.
Capable of operating autonomously while effectively adapting to a hybrid work structure.
Proficiency in the insurance or financial services sector represents a valuable asset.
A background in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is strongly desired.
A strong history of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets is highly desirable.
