ABOUT THE ROLE

Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in Computer Studies and Physical Education that are grounded in real-world applications and fully compliant with the Kenya curriculum standards.

Foster professional and constructive relationships with students, their families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative environment.

Develop comprehensive lesson plans and collaborate closely with the Learning Design Team to evaluate and revise lessons as needed or requested.

Foster a classroom atmosphere that actively supports student learning, aligns with each student’s developmental stage and interests, and upholds an orderly, goal-driven learning environment.

Infuse each lesson with enthusiasm and a genuine love for learning to inspire students and cultivate their excitement about achieving academic excellence.

Facilitate essential accommodations and adjustments to support the holistic development and achievement of all students, encompassing both academic and cultural standards.

Ensure students achieve proficiency in content knowledge and meet established academic standards.

Utilize interactive technologies to elevate the effectiveness of instructional delivery within lesson plans.

Establish and convey high standards and aspirational objectives for every student while delivering constructive feedback to foster their understanding and ownership of these goals.

Deliver consistent rewards and/or consequences based on student conduct while exemplifying the desired behavior at all times to serve as a model for students to follow.

Achieve the high-performance targets set by a fast-paced, expanding company with unwavering consistency and dedication.

Act as a teacher or boarding teacher on duty, providing supervision and support, while contributing to school-wide initiatives designed to address behavioral interventions.

Collect and record student academic data promptly, and communicate students’ progress to National Program families and other relevant stakeholders as needed.

Facilitate the development and operation of clubs, societies, and other essential co-curricular activities within the school to cultivate well-rounded students.

Fulfill the role of a homeroom teacher as needed.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and Experience Required:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, alongside experience with frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or .NET. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are also required. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is highly desirable. Additionally, prior experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is preferred.

TSC certification, complemented by a pertinent Degree in Education with a specialization in Computer Studies or Physical Education, is essential for this role.

Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on teaching experience.
