Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. At least three years of progressive experience in financial reporting, analysis, or audit is essential. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software is required. Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards is necessary. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are expected.
A doctorate degree or a master’s degree in a specialized field from an accredited university, along with a minimum of two years of teaching experience, is required.
The candidate is required to maintain an outstanding research portfolio and hold a current academic position, such as professor, associate professor, senior lecturer, lecturer, or an equivalent designation, at a university accredited by the University of Nairobi.
Industry experience would be beneficial.
