The Program Risk Management (PMR) team, operating within the Regional Operations unit of ESRO, offers strategic direction and monitoring to EAR Country Offices (CO’s) to ensure adherence to the Office of Strategy and Evidence’s (ONE) Program Implementation Procedure and its accompanying Handbook. This framework encompasses key areas such as work planning, ACT assurance planning and execution, collaboration with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and adherence to Social and Environmental Standards (SES), including Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).
This position will deliver administrative support to both the PMR team and the broader office environment. Additionally, it will involve collecting and analyzing data to enhance the team’s ability to uphold quality and efficiency in developing, managing, and monitoring government and civil society partnerships at the country office level, as well as mitigating associated risks. Responsibilities include utilizing relevant e-Platforms such as tools, INPP, Insight, Vision, and RAM, along with extracting and interpreting data from these systems.
Perform essential duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following key functions and accountabilities:
You will assist in the development and implementation of ACT assurance plans for EAR Country Offices by extracting, analyzing, and reporting data, thereby enabling informed planning, priority alignment, and enhanced performance in Age-related initiatives.
The incumbent will collaborate with the PMR team to gather, evaluate, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and information from UNICEF’s databases, enhancing program and risk management while assisting in report and presentation preparation. This role also involves participating in Peer Review exercises.
Review assigned assessments and program assurance reports to pinpoint critical weaknesses in ACT implementation, facilitating prompt follow-up actions and interventions by the supervisor and team with country offices.
Assist in the organization and coordination of meetings and webinars, while also contributing to the development of PowerPoint presentations.
Collaborates in capacity-building initiatives focused on program management and ACT implementation, contributing to the development of training materials and engaging in practical exercises for deploying partnership systems such as INPP, tools, and exact.
