The role involves overseeing and executing operational and dispatch activities to ensure seamless workflow and timely service delivery. Operate and dispatch power in strict compliance with system technical specifications, approved procedures, and provided dispatch instructions.

Oversee plant operational parameters, alarms, charts, meters, and gauges to confirm stable and secure functioning.

Perform the startup, shutdown, and switching operations for generators, turbines, and associated auxiliary systems in accordance with approved operational guidelines.

Regulate power flow and respond to KPLC’s grid requirements by adjusting operational controls as directed.

Responsible for overseeing, documenting, and maintaining accurate records of data, ensuring compliance with established protocols while generating comprehensive reports to track performance, trends, and operational metrics.

Perform regular inspections of equipment and operational parameters to identify early indications of malfunction or irregular performance.

Record operational data, events, and alarms meticulously in shift logs and control reports to maintain precise documentation throughout each shift.

Maintain accurate and insightful equipment history records that facilitate comprehensive engineering analysis.

Ensure that operational and dispatch reports are prepared and distributed promptly and accurately.

Provide assistance to the Maintenance and Engineering departments by performing various tasks such as equipment inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to resolve operational challenges, conduct preventive maintenance activities, and document maintenance activities accurately. Strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required. Familiarity with maintenance systems and tools, as well as adherence to industry regulations, are essential.

Collaborate with Maintenance teams to address both scheduled and unexpected outages as directed.

Assist in executing maintenance schedules and operational guidelines provided by Engineering or Supervisory personnel to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.

Contribute to incident reporting efforts and supply accurate information for investigations and Lessons Learned activities.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and established procedures at all times to maintain operational integrity and mitigate risks. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety guidelines, compliance frameworks, and process documentation. Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to verify adherence to industry standards and internal policies.
