Position Overview

This role encompasses a comprehensive range of key duties and responsibilities essential to the successful execution of the position. Ensure adherence to established processes to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and local legal requirements. Promptly report any potential risks, near misses, breakdowns, and accidents to your immediate supervisors.

You are responsible for ensuring frontline employees are fully informed about all pertinent DPDHL policies and continuously oversee their correct execution.

To ensure the protection of site premises, personnel safety, DSC assets, and customer products within the designated area, implement the necessary security measures as required.

Compliance with the DSC 6 Steps security framework is mandatory.

Investigate all pertinent security risks, and when required, propose mitigation options to your line manager for approval.

Implement and oversee the enforcement of current processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and related documentation to ensure the achievement of established outcomes.

Provide ongoing enhancements to existing procedures to optimize the achievement of established outputs.

Consistently revise the operational training matrix or plan to align with evolving requirements as necessary.

Implement the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, specifically for critical nonconformities, to ensure identified actions are executed effectively in order to prevent recurrence and minimize non-quality costs.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure alignment with business requirements, evaluate their performance, and, when needed, recommend enhancements to the line manager. Subsequently, execute agreed-upon improvement initiatives to drive continuous progress.

Ensure compliance with DPDHL policies while meeting all customer requirements.

Engage in customer, regulatory, and internal operational audits as assigned, collaborating closely with the team to execute the agreed-upon action plan.

Respond to customer inquiries or escalate issues in adherence to established protocols, while analyzing situations to propose appropriate solutions.

Management oversees the execution of ongoing enhancement initiatives to drive operational excellence and efficiency, ensuring adherence to established standards and fostering a culture of innovation.

Propose recommendations for local modifications that impact workflow or team dynamics to the line manager, thereby contributing to ongoing enhancements.

Provide assistance to leadership in strategic resource planning and oversight, including establishing and enforcing agreed-upon processes to evaluate performance, track absenteeism and illness, and resolve issues in accordance with established guidelines.

Process forecasted volume using the RPM system, reconcile it with the resource plan, and address escalated issues in adherence to established guidelines to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to meet projected demand.

Proactively assess and communicate any deficiencies in training and qualifications, elevating them as necessary for resolution. Additionally, deliver structured induction programs and specialized technical training sessions to enhance the team’s competencies and ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Attends periodic operational assessments and delivers consistent colleague briefings through Performance Dialogue boards and scheduled updates.

Daily, within established management guidelines, you will delegate tasks, track team performance, and provide necessary assistance to ensure operational objectives are met.

Establish structured feedback mechanisms—such as Performance Dialogue boards, daily briefing sessions, and the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)—to empower employees to actively engage in the ongoing enhancement and growth of the site.

Oversee infrastructure utilization and ensure adherence to mandated safety and operational standards through regular inspections.

Monitor and oversee the monthly allocation and expenditure of the budget within your designated area of responsibility.

Provide assistance throughout recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and exit procedures, delivering well-informed recommendations based on thorough analysis.

Perform comprehensive performance evaluations and provide individualized coaching sessions for all direct reports, subsequently presenting well-founded performance ratings to senior management for consideration.

Develops and executes site plans within designated operational areas.

Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of personnel, machinery, and operational workflows, identifying opportunities for management to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Develops and executes prompt reporting mechanisms along with strategic corrective measures to address performance shortfalls.

Analyzes and presents operational outcomes, ensuring clarity and precision in conveying key performance indicators, financial metrics, and strategic insights to stakeholders. Facilitates data-driven discussions by translating complex operational data into actionable information, supporting informed decision-making across departments. Implement, lead, and mentor Coordinators in executing Gemma Walks and Performance Dialogues to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement. Address or escalate issues and opportunities in accordance with established guidelines. Execute approved changes and revise standard operating procedures and training documentation to reflect updates.

About you

Holding a degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing and Supply Management is required for this position.

With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in logistics operations, you will bring a proven track record of managing supply chain processes, coordinating shipments, and optimizing delivery schedules. Your expertise will support the efficient movement of goods, ensuring timely fulfillment while maintaining cost-effectiveness and adherence to regulatory standards. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments will be essential in driving continuous improvement within the logistics function.

Demonstrates at least one year of experience in finance and budget management.

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential for this role. Strong skills in creating, editing, and formatting documents, spreadsheets, and presentations are required to ensure effective communication and data management. Familiarity with advanced features such as macros, pivot tables, and data analysis tools in Excel are highly desirable. The ability to collaborate and share files efficiently using Office 365 tools is also important for seamless teamwork.
