Job Summary
The Doctor Liaison Officer will proactively cultivate strong partnerships with physicians affiliated with 3rd Park Hospital, ensuring they receive the necessary support to enhance their professional scope and deliver exceptional patient care. This role involves identifying strategic avenues to boost physician retention, address communication discrepancies, and effectively convey the hospital’s evolving capabilities and service offerings to medical practitioners.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing critical operational, strategic, and administrative functions essential to organizational success. Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Serve as the primary liaison between senior leadership and departmental stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication and alignment of priorities. Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards while mitigating risks and resolving complex challenges proactively.
Develop and sustain robust professional connections with admitting and referring physicians to ensure seamless collaboration and patient care continuity.
Facilitate seamless patient referral procedures and foster effective inter-specialty collaboration to ensure optimal care coordination.
Identify and bridge communication discrepancies to enhance physician satisfaction and retention rates.
Serve as the primary liaison for addressing physician inquiries, support needs, and any arising concerns to ensure seamless communication and resolution.
Provide informative communications regarding the latest advancements in hospital technologies, newly introduced equipment, and available healthcare services.
Collate and communicate feedback received from physicians, ensuring any critical issues are promptly brought to the attention of senior leadership for resolution.
Collaborate effectively with insurance and finance teams to facilitate seamless pre-authorizations and payment processing.
Maintain precise documentation of all physician engagements within the CRM system to ensure complete and up-to-date records.
Represent the hospital at various networking events, seminars, and professional meetings.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a comparable discipline is required.
With a minimum of four to five years of hands-on experience in healthcare sales, cultivating physician relationships, or performing comparable liaison functions, candidates will bring a strong foundation to this role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a talent for cultivating and sustaining professional networks and relationships, are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms is required.
Individuals should possess a foundational knowledge of medical terminology and hospital operational frameworks to effectively navigate clinical environments.
Monitoring and evaluating performance through clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is essential to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement. These metrics provide measurable benchmarks to assess progress, identify gaps, and inform strategic decision-making. Regular tracking and analysis of KPIs enable data-driven insights, fostering accountability and transparency across teams. Additionally, KPIs facilitate the optimization of processes, resource allocation, and overall operational efficiency.
Significant growth in the number of patient referrals received is anticipated.
Consistent staffing levels of physicians across each specialty are maintained.
Maintains and schedules regular in-person consultations with referring physicians to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
Experienced a decrease in the number of issues and complaints submitted by admitting physicians.
