Perform thorough eye examinations and vision evaluations to assess ocular health and visual acuity.

Diagnose ocular conditions and vision-related issues with precision.

Prescribe and provide corrective vision solutions, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, to meet patients’ visual needs with precision and care.

Identify and address ocular diseases while ensuring referral of complex cases to the appropriate specialists.

Educate patients about maintaining optimal eye health and implementing preventive measures to safeguard their vision.

Ensure meticulous management and upkeep of patient records and documentation with precision and thoroughness.

Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and maintain high standards of clinical excellence.

Engage in community outreach efforts and eye screening campaigns as needed.

Minimum education and experience criteria include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Applicants must possess at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, and exceptional communication abilities are highly valued. A recognized institution must award either a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry, or a Bachelor of Optometry and Vision Science.

Holds a current, active professional license issued by the appropriate regulatory authority in Kenya.

A minimum of three years of hands-on clinical practice within a high-volume healthcare environment is highly desirable.

Exceptional proficiency in interpersonal dynamics and communication is essential.

Maintains a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and a patient-centered approach in all interactions and duties.

Proficient in operating within a faith-based healthcare setting.
