Job Purpose:
The Lead Systems Integrator & Developer oversees the complete delivery and operational reliability of the organization’s critical data integrations. This position involves designing and managing the data infrastructure for an expanding, multi-campus international school network, serving as the primary architect for the school’s integration backbone. The role includes establishing and maintaining automated data flows that link HR, MIS, Library, and Google Workspace platforms. Responsibilities span the full delivery lifecycle—beginning with requirements gathering from non-technical stakeholders, progressing through architecture, development, and deployment, and concluding with ongoing monitoring and documentation.

Experienced in creating and sustaining production-grade Python scripts to automate data synchronization across enterprise-level platforms.
We seek a candidate with proven expertise in designing and overseeing Zero-Touch onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring seamless integration and disengagement of users across systems.
Proficiency in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Directory Services platforms, such as Google Workspace or comparable systems, is essential.
Experienced in designing and implementing API-driven integration bridges to automate manual business operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and efficiency.
Proven capability to oversee the entire project lifecycle, beginning with the collection of requirements from non-technical stakeholders and culminating in deployment, ongoing monitoring, and the formal documentation handoff.
Accomplished in deploying structured logging frameworks, proactive alerting systems, and foundational observability tools to monitor unattended scheduled jobs within a live production setting.
Added Advantage
Postgraduate credentials in Data Engineering or Cloud Architecture, such as the Google Professional Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Analytics certifications, are required.
Professional qualifications encompassing Power BI, Advanced Data Analytics, or Google Workspace certifications are required for this role.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019.
Candidates should possess prior experience in the K-12 education field or familiarity with School Management Information Systems (MIS).
Proficiency in managing data across multiple campuses or entities, with expertise in consolidating and reconciling information spanning organizational or geographic divisions, is required.
Proficiency in transitioning legacy scripts from on-premise infrastructure to serverless or containerized cloud platforms is required.
Seasoned professionals with prior experience in a Lead or Senior role are sought, possessing expertise in managing technical documentation, enforcing code standards, and facilitating knowledge transfer for a small team.
Proficiency in Integrated Library Systems (ILS), specifically Doha, with expertise in REST API integration for effective patron and catalog management is required.
