Oversee and execute critical operational duties to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness, including managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of quality. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement across departments. Collaborate with senior leadership to align goals with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of plans and policies. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for enhancement, and report findings with actionable insights. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a liaison between executive teams and operational staff to facilitate clear communication and alignment of priorities.
Promptly and efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and all kitchen equipment.
Ensure kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation areas remain consistently clean and sanitary.
Maintain the correct management, storage, and organization of kitchen equipment and supplies to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.
Provide essential assistance to chefs and kitchen personnel, including basic food prep and operational tasks as needed.
Responsibilities include managing and disposing of waste materials in strict adherence to established hygiene and safety protocols to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep in designated garbage collection areas at all times.
Restock cleaning supplies as needed and promptly inform supervisors when inventory levels are running low.
Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment with precision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency at all times.
Adhere strictly to all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations and protocols.
Help ensure the upkeep of cleanliness standards at conferences, banquets, and other large-scale events.
Maintain flawless adherence to the elevated cleanliness and presentation benchmarks synonymous with five-star hospitality.
Respond to cleaning requests from kitchen and food & beverage teams with urgency and efficiency.
Facilitate comprehensive deep cleaning schedules and perform regular kitchen maintenance tasks to uphold high sanitation and operational standards.
Requirements
A hospitality diploma or certificate is required for this position.
A qualification in Food Production, Hospitality, or a closely related discipline is highly beneficial.
Seeking candidates with at least one to two years of practical experience in a Kitchen Steward role within a hotel, restaurant, or other hospitality setting.
A proven track record in high-volume or luxury hospitality environments is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and sanitation regulations is required.
Proficient in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required.
Capable of maintaining physical fitness and enduring prolonged periods of standing.
Exceptional ability to collaborate effectively within a team and convey ideas clearly through both verbal and written communication.
Must be able to accommodate flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.
