The Role

As a Kitchen Operations Associate, your primary responsibility involves collaborating with chefs and kitchen leadership to facilitate the seamless preparation, packaging, and dispatch of food, ensuring adherence to the most rigorous standards of quality, sanitation, and food safety protocols.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across teams. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and foster innovation. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. Lead project management efforts, including planning, execution, and evaluation, while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints. Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external requirements. Mentor and guide team members to cultivate a high-performance culture, driving professional growth and accountability. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams, communicating priorities, progress, and challenges transparently.

Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to facilitate seamless daily operations and uphold efficient production and service standards.

Ensure that all food items are prepared and packaged in strict accordance with established recipes and quality benchmarks.

Perform thorough quality inspections on completed items prior to shipment to ensure compliance with specified standards and minimize the risk of defects reaching customers.

Ensure strict adherence to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety protocols throughout the kitchen environment.

Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensure timely replenishment of ingredients, and implement proper stock rotation procedures adhering to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Accurately document any waste and promptly escalate operational concerns to the Kitchen Leads for resolution.

Maintain precise documentation of production records and daily checklists to ensure accuracy.

Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to guarantee timely preparation of orders.

Assist in sustaining a tidy, structured, and highly productive workspace.

Assess situations and report concerns without delay to maintain operational efficiency.

Provide training and facilitate the onboarding process for new team members as needed.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are a must, along with the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Prior experience managing projects or leading initiatives will be considered a significant advantage.

A diploma or degree in Food Production, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business, Operations, or a closely related discipline is required.

Applicants with up to two years of professional experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, customer service, manufacturing, or food production will be given preference.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and thrives in high-pressure environments.

Effective interpersonal communication and collaborative teamwork capabilities are essential for this position.

Demonstrates exceptional organizational abilities and a proactive approach to taking initiative.

Able to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets would be beneficial.

Nice to Have

HACCP certification or a valid Food Handler’s Certificate is required.

Experience in restaurant operations, cloud kitchen environments, catering services, or food manufacturing facilities is required.

Possesses a solid understanding of inventory management and quality control methodologies.
